During May one of my best friends from university, Rie, went to Pittsburgh for a visit from Tokyo, where she now lives. Since I’m always looking for a good excuse to go back to Pittsburgh, I decided to meet Rie up there for a few days.

Watch our 10th episode to learn about places to visit in the foodie haven that is Pittsburgh. For the contact information for each of the places mentioned in this episode, please see below.

Nice episode! Just wanted to mention for anyone clicking the links above and finding them not working, if you upper-case the first part of the video filename, ie PIT360.mov, it’ll work.

(I just realized that most other average folks with just think of unger as hunger w/o the “h” and wonder what’s up with the 35.)
yum yum yum — man I do miss pittsburgh.

I was looking for one of my old blogs and somehow came across yours and it was great seeing Pittsburgh through the eyes of a former resident as well (both my husband and I attended school there). I haven’t lived in Pittsburgh since 2002 but to this day Church Brew Works is one of my ten favorite restaurants of all time! I also miss The O. Having one’s dorm upstairs from that place did a number on my waistline my freshman year! Another recommendation I wanted to list for anyone reading and going to Pittsburgh is Primanti’s in the South Side. There’s nothing more fabulous that a giant sandwhich made all the more giant by adding french fries to it.
Great post.

Yes, Primanti Brothers is a great recommendation. Sometimes when I’m eating out and I order a sandwich that comes with fries, I’ll put some of the fries on my sandwich. It’s just a tasty combination.
